A GRP roof is
a reinforced build-up.

GRPROOF is not a resin painted over a deck. It is a complete catalysed GRP system in which deck condition, laminate continuity, edge details, consolidation and the finishing layer work together.

Most GRP problems begin at joints, edges, corners, poorly consolidated laminate or incorrect catalyst control—not in the middle of an uncomplicated field area.

THE GRP PRINCIPLE

Continuity is created through the laminate.

Base resin wets and bonds the CSM reinforcement into a consolidated laminate, while the top coat provides the finished exposed surface. Each transition in the roof geometry must preserve that continuity.

01 / DECK

Stable, correctly formed substrate

Board type, fixing, joint support, falls and edge construction create the geometry on which the entire GRP build-up depends.

02 / LAMINATE

Base resin and CSM

The reinforcement must be fully wetted and consolidated without dry fibres, trapped air, weak laps or poorly formed corners.

03 / FINISH

GRPROOF top coat

The finishing layer protects the laminate and provides the completed exposed surface; preparation and timing between stages remain controlled.

04 / DETAILS

Trims, corners and outlets

Pre-formed profiles help create repeatable geometry, but they remain system components that must be bonded and laminated into the waterproofing correctly.

INSTALLATION LOGIC

Build the roof from the deck outward.

The field laminate cannot compensate for an unstable deck or a poorly formed perimeter detail.

    Confirm deck design

    Check board specification, support, fixing pattern, falls, drainage and moisture before resin work starts.

  2. 02
    Install trims and detail components

    Form drips, upstands, corners, outlets and junctions so the laminate can remain continuous through each change in geometry.

  3. 03
    Prepare resin and catalyst

    Control batch size, catalyst ratio, temperature, mixing and working time for the actual site conditions.

  4. 04
    Wet out and consolidate CSM

    Embed the reinforcement fully, remove trapped air and maintain sound laps and continuity at details.

  5. 05
    Complete and inspect the finish

    Apply the specified top coat and verify coverage, terminations, drainage and the completed surface before handover.

CHECK BEFORE SELECTION

The deck and details decide the outcome.

01Is the deck correct?

Board grade alone is not enough; support, fixing, joints, moisture and falls must all be appropriate.

02Can the laminate remain continuous?

Corners, penetrations and changes of direction need geometry that allows full wet-out and consolidation.

03Are conditions controlled?

Catalyst, resin temperature, weather and working time directly affect installation quality.

04Which guarantee route applies?

Training ID, fire classification, material guarantee and Platinum requirements should be established early.
