CURRENT RANGE / MIDA ROOFING SYSTEMS

CONFIRMED WORKING RANGE7 PRODUCT ROUTES

One manufacturer. Two very different roof types.

The supplied MIDA range crosses low-slope membrane roofing and pitched bituminous shingles. The products are organised here by roof type, application method and layer responsibility so that an underlay is never mistaken for a cap sheet—or a shingle collection for a flat-roof membrane.

THE RANGE PRINCIPLE

Product role comes before product name.

MIDAELAST EKP 5500 is an exposed top layer. MIDABIKRO EPP 4.0 is an underlay or intermediate layer. The two MIDA SELF membranes are flame-free lower layers, while the Standard and Residential collections belong to pitched shingle roofing.

01 / LOW-SLOPE MEMBRANES

Four products. Three distinct layer responsibilities.

A membrane can be exposed, buried within a multi-layer system or self-adhered over a sensitive substrate. The finish, reinforcement, flexibility and application method must match that position.

01TORCH-APPLIED

EXPOSED TOP LAYER

MIDAELAST EKP 5500

Polyester-reinforced elastomeric bitumen cap sheet for new roofs, refurbishment and waterproofing of engineering structures. It is not a single-layer membrane.

02TORCH OR MECHANICAL

UNDERLAY / INTERMEDIATE LAYER

MIDABIKRO EPP 4.0

Polyester-reinforced bitumen membrane for lower or intermediate positions in new roofs, refurbishment and compatible below-ground waterproofing. Not for single-layer roofing.

SELF-ADHESIVE UNDERLAY

MIDA SELF PV S2,0s

Polyester-reinforced elastomeric membrane for the lower or intermediate layer. The sanded upper surface distinguishes its interface from the film-faced alternative.

04ADHERE + OPTIONAL FIXING

SELF-ADHESIVE UNDERLAY

MIDA SELF SA P 2

Polyester-reinforced elastomeric underlay with a film upper surface and siliconised release film below. Not for exposed or single-layer application.

Same nominal thickness. Different surface and roll format.

MIDA SELF PV S2,0s and MIDA SELF SA P 2 are both 2.0 mm self-adhesive polyester underlays, but their mass, upper finish, flexibility and roll size differ.

SELECTION CAUTION

Neither product is an exposed top layer or a single-layer roofing membrane. The upper surface must also be compatible with the next layer and the approved installation method.

03 / BITUMINOUS SHINGLES

Economical non-residential and modified residential routes.

The two collections share familiar profile and colour choices, but their intended building type and material positioning are not the same.

SELF PRO
1.5 mm · 1.8 kg/m² · 15 × 1 m

Underlay continuity beneath the shingle covering.

MIDA SELF PRO is a polyester-reinforced self-adhesive underlay for lower or intermediate positions. Within shingle work it is used at critical zones such as valleys and eaves and can form part of a broader underlay strategy.

  • Self-adhesive with optional mechanical restraint.
  • Grit upper surface and siliconised release film below.
  • Not an exposed top layer or single-layer roof covering.
  • Deck, slope, fixing and overlap rules remain controlled by current instructions.
SELECTION CHECKLIST

Six checks before the product becomes a build-up.

  1. 01

ROOF TYPE Low-slope membrane system or pitched bituminous shingles?

  2. 02

LAYER ROLE Exposed top layer, underlay, intermediate layer or shingle covering?

  3. 03

APPLICATION Torch-applied, self-adhesive, mechanically restrained or combined route?

  4. 04

SUBSTRATE + FIRE RISK Is the deck suitable and is a flame-free sequence required?

  5. 05

INTERFACE Does the surface finish accept the next compatible layer and detailing method?

  6. 06

CONTROLLED DOCUMENTS Have current TDS, DoP, fire classification, installation and warranty requirements been checked?

TECHNICAL SCOPE NOTE

This page maps the confirmed MIDA product families handled within the current working range. It is not a complete manufacturer catalogue, installation manual or project specification. Exact build-up compatibility, roof pitch, substrate, attachment, fire performance, colour availability and warranty requirements must be verified against current controlled documents for the selected system.
