The question I am often asked is
“Which one is the best?”
The reality is that there is no universal answer.
A system that performs exceptionally well on one project may be completely unsuitable for another.
Successful waterproofing specifications are rarely determined by a single product or technology.
They are influenced by factors such as
- Roof design
- Existing substrate condition
- Structural movement
- Exposure conditions
- Detailing complexity
- Expected service life
- Budget considerations
- Installation quality
The most successful projects are not those that use the “best” product.
They are the projects where the most appropriate technology has been selected for the specific requirements of the building.
As roofing professionals, consultants, architects and contractors, our role is not simply to specify products.
Our role is to understand the challenges of the project and identify the most suitable solution.
Because in waterproofing, as in most areas of construction
