POLYDAN and ESTERDAN form coordinated torch-applied routes. DANOPOL HS and HSF separate mechanical and adhered PVC design. SELF-DAN AL PRO manages air and vapour below the insulation, while DANODREN and DANOFELT control drainage, separation and protection around the waterproofing.
Two-layer routes built around lower and exposed layers.
The 50 and 60 POLYDAN references are exposed cap-sheet routes—not substitute underlays. ESTERDAN follows the same system principle: a defined lower layer coordinated with a compatible mineral-finished top layer.
POLYDAN 50 / 60 ROUTES
A polyester-reinforced lower layer coordinated with a mineral-finished 50 or 60 cap sheet. The chosen cap-sheet route must match the approved roof build-up, exposure and project requirements.
ESTERDAN ROUTES
A dedicated underlay and exposed mineral cap-sheet family for compatible new-build and refurbishment assemblies. Lower and upper layers carry different responsibilities and are not interchangeable.
Cap-sheet weight does not define the complete roof.
Deck condition, vapour strategy, insulation, fixing, primer, fire route and detailing still determine whether the assembly is appropriate.
Air and vapour control below the insulation.
SELF-DAN AL PRO belongs beneath the thermal layer within a compatible warm-roof build-up. It must not be presented as the exposed primary waterproofing.
AL PROALUMINIUM-FACED CONTROL LAYER
A controlled interface—not simply another membrane.
The self-adhesive aluminium-composite layer supports continuity of air and vapour control below the insulation. Substrate preparation, laps, penetrations, perimeter sealing and transitions must remain continuous.
- Positioned below insulation in the intended warm-roof sequence.
- Prepared substrate and sealed laps are part of the performance.
- Penetrations and changes in direction require planned continuity.
- The condensation strategy must be checked for the complete construction.
Mechanical fixing and full adhesion are separate design routes.
The quoted 1.08 m and 1.80 m dimensions describe roll-width options. They do not describe membrane thickness, fixing density or wind performance.
DANOPOL HS
1.08 m + 1.80 m roll-width routesReinforced PVC membrane for mechanically fastened roof systems. Roll width, fixing pattern, fastener density and perimeter restraint follow the wind-load calculation and approved project design.
DANOPOL HSF
1.80 m fleece-backed routeFleece-backed reinforced PVC for fully adhered assemblies over a compatible prepared substrate. Adhesive selection, coverage, substrate condition and wind resistance remain system-controlled.
The layers below and beside waterproofing manage different risks.
Drainage membranes move water and protect the construction. Geotextiles separate, filter and cushion interfaces. Their mass, polymer type and position must follow the required load and substrate.
DANODREN H15 / H25 PLUS
Studded drainage membranes with an integrated geotextile layer for suitable retaining-wall and below-ground protection routes.
DANODREN GARDEN / R-20
Drainage and water-management layers for compatible landscaped and green-roof build-ups, selected around loading, retention and discharge requirements.
DANOFELT PY 150
A 150 g/m² polyester geotextile for compatible separation, filtration and protection positions within the build-up.
DANOFELT PP 200
A 200 g/m² polypropylene geotextile used where the selected detail requires a distinct protection, separation or filtration grade.
DANOFELT PY 300
A 300 g/m² polyester geotextile for robust protection, separation, filtration and drainage interfaces, including compatible positions around PVC systems.
The field sheet is only as reliable as its terminations.
Compatible fabricated details reduce on-site improvisation and keep reinforcement, fixing and waterproofing continuity controlled at the roof’s highest-risk interfaces.
